Today—December 19th—is another special day to me, and I believe a couple of my friends might know why.
Well, the first reason would be because today, supercell finally released the famed music group’s sixth single, “Giniro Hikousen”. The single is also the third one with Koeda filling the vocals, and I’m really happy with the way she has improved. The titular track, Giniro Hikousen, serves as the theme to a new movie called “Nerawareta Gakuen”, with AKB48’s Watanabe “Mayuyu” Mayu performing the other theme song, “Hikaru Monotachi”. In case you didn’t know, Hikaru Monotachi is composed by none other than HachioujiP (8# Prince), a famous Vocaloid producer known for his great works like “electric love”, “Baby Maniacs”, and “Sweet Devil”.
While the A-side track did a great job in bringing the usual quality that has always been supercell’s leading trademark, along with Koeda’s amazing vocals which managed to wholly express ryo’s deep lyrics, the B-side tracks also went out of its way to comply and show another side of the release. Listening to “Little More” made me even more impressed; the acoustic guitar greatly complemented Koeda’s distinct voice. The Nerawareta Gakuen BGM also adds up to the awesomeness of this new single with its sweet and calming tune. Anyway, if anyone of you still want to get the single and haven’t pre-ordered it, you can still do so through CDJapan!
Below, I provided the romanized lyrics of Giniro Hikousen. (^ o ^)

Okay, so that’s the first. What’s the second? Well, the other reason of me being really happy today also involves ryo, but not supercell: December 19th is also the release date of Tia’s debut single produced by ryo, “Love Me Gimme“! Tia is a singer ryo encountered in Nico Nico Douga, currently being a high school student. The A-side track is the ending theme song for the anime “Wooser no Sono Higurashi“—which despite its cute graphics, is actually a show full of sarcasm and jokes towards otaku culture.
The song really shows ryo’s composition, and even some of its verses are derived from his past works, like “Utakata Hanabi”. Its upbeat melody really makes me want to start jumping and dancing along the tune. The second track, “Pallete”, is more of a ballad to contrast the high tempo and quick pace of Love Me Gimme. If you are interested, you can order the stuff from CDJapan too! (^ o ^)
The romaji for the song is here:

I love the fact that ryo has been really productive this year. I hope that a third album for supercell will be released next year, as I have been waiting for a new album from the group with a new approach. Keep up the great work, ryo!
Love Me Gimme is really catchy, I can’t get it outta my head 😀
Yep, this song is really an earworm, can’t stop looping it in my music player. XD
I like Love Me Gimme very much, it reminds me some of supercell’s old works
btw, I seldomly listened Utakata Hanabi in the past so I don’t realize that some of its verses are derived from it
The verses prior to the refrain, in particular, possess a similar tune to Utakata Hanabi’s refrain. Kinda shocked me at the start a little bit, haha.
