Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou Anime Postponed

The official website for Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou has announced that the upcoming anime adaptation of the popular light novel series which was originally slated to be released on April 2018 will be postponed.

While the notice didn’t mention anything about the reason of the delay, the anime is now planned for 2019 release.

Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou is a Japanese light novel series written by Ryo Shirakome and illustrated by Takayaki. The series follows Hajime Nagumo, who is transported to another world with the rest of his class but receives only the most average of magical abilities, forcing him to fight to improve himself. The novels are licensed in English by J-Novel Club, with Seven Seas Entertainment publishing them in print. The series has received a manga adaptation, serialized on Ovelap’s Comic Gardo website since 2016 and also licensed by Seven Seas, and is set to get an anime television series adaptation by White Fox.
Synopsis:

High-schooler Hajime Nagumo is bullied by the rest of his class for his relationship with the class idol, Kaori. When he and the rest of his class are transported to a fantasy world, all of his classmates get powerful magical abilities, while Hajime only gains the ability to transmute metal. During a dungeon raid, he is betrayed and left for dead, but survives. He must work to escape the dungeon and become stronger. On his journey, he meets and forms a relationship with the imprisoned vampire Yue, and later is joined by the bunny-eared Shea.
