When it’s April 1, you can expect some pranks and troll announcements coming from Japan’s animation and game publishing companies; of course, Aniplex is no exception. Continue reading Saekano April Mop Prank Features Kiyono Yasuno in Live-action Poster
Henshuu-san to JK Sakka no Tadashii Tsukiaikata

“If an editor and a high school author start going out, don’t you think it would be a perfect romantic comedy?”
Synopsis:
Fubuki Saehara (17) is our main protagonist, who also works as a part-time editor. He is in charge of Misa Ryuenji, a 7-year award-winning author, but… “Fubuki Saehara is my master~♪” Misa who aims to be the heroine with her writing style, seems to desire a relationship beyond work!?
Saekano Koisuru Metronome Volume 7
With everyone focusing on volume 12’s developments, just wanted to remind you guys that Saekano Koisuru Metronome volume 7’s also out.

Tomoya Aki was chosen to be the editor in charge of popular light novel author Kasumi Utako a.k.a. Utaha Kasumigaoka. With the character designs for “Pure Love Hectopascal” decided, the road of anime adaptation will be smooth sailing… or so we thought, until a big development suddenly shakes everything!!
“I don’t want to write the anime script nor the sequel to the original series anymore.”
With the overly deep in love and jealousy (!?) Utaha Kasumigaoka as the main heroine, this is the volume 7 of Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata Koisuru Metronome!
Saekano Volume 12: Twist and Conclusion
Probably won’t be able to do a quick review on Saekano volume 12 since I’ve been occupied with work and lots of night shifts in these past few months, but here is a longer teaser. Hopefully you guys don’t mind.
Another important thing to note is that the series will be concluded in the next two volumes: Girls Side 3 and volume 13, just like what I’ve mentioned previously in the page. Get your hands on the light novel here!

Ryuuou no Oshigoto!
A short post for this since apparently it managed to take the 1st place of Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! 2017’s Best Light Novel category.
Ryuuou no Oshigoto! is a comedy and shogi light novel written by Shirow Shiratori (author of Nourin) and illustrated by Shirabi. Three volumes have been released so far and it seems to be positively received in Japan so far.
Synopsis:
“Yaichi Kuzuryuu is the youngest shogi champion in history—the ‘Ryuuou’.
And this is Ai Hinatsuru—a girl who asked him to become his disciple.
Being too young for his title, Yaichi is going to revive his shogi through a passionate disciple…
Wait, Ai-chan is 9 years old? She is an elementary school girl! And… is she going to live with Yaichi? All night until the morning? What? Officer, can we have you here, please! A comedy about shogi-holic live-in disciple.”
Will put this on the list next time.
Saekano Volume 11: Blessing

The long-awaited Megumi volume of Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata has finally arrived! After experiencing what I would call “Eriri route” and “Utaha route”, we’re back on track for the main course.

“Kimi no Na wa.” / “Your Name.” Bests “Ponyo”, Claims 1st Place in 9th Week
Exactly third week from my last post, Kimi no Na wa. (Your Name.) successfully surpassed Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki’s “Ponyo” like I predicted.

Jealousy on Social Media
So Which Blessings of Your Lord Will You Deny~?
“Most people on social media present the “best version” of who they are. Nobody really shares their darkest moments or the many hardships people go through. It gives the illusion that their life is “perfect” when in reality we all go through things that challenge us to do and become better.
Comparing your life to others has become so easy, a simple click that makes you feel like you’re not good enough, you’re not having as much fun, or your life might be boring. All of this comparison actually affects your self-esteem and confidence level. You lower your ability to grow, because you shun yourself.”
~Quoted from @idillionaire
The best and the worst moments of my life don’t make it to social media. What I post is honest, what interests me, and pieces of who I really am. I am frankly being myself.

About Gi(a)rlish Number’s Fansub
Hi guys, just wanna make a little announcement here.
After much consideration, I’m thinking of dropping the sub for Gi(a)rlish Number. I decided to continue subbing the second episode because the simulcasts are still delayed to Wednesday and GJM dropped the show. But, since Davinci has planned to keep subbing it with better quality and typesetting, I don’t think it’s necessary to have a double release every week.

It was quite a fun experience doing this, even in the middle of my tight schedule. I hope you can continue enjoying Gi(a)rlish Number from now on. This show is certainly a contender for Fall 2016’s best anime. For those of you who haven’t watched it, give it a try!
On an unrelated note, I’ll be having my thesis defense tomorrow, so please wish me luck.
