The first photobook of popular voice actress Ayane Sakura, “Sakura no Oto”, has been revealed to feature special illustrations drawn by several popular manga artists. Kodansha, the publisher of the photobook, previously announced a reprint of the book a week before its release.

The following manga artists will be providing their illustrations for the photobook:

  • Tsutomu Nihei
  • Kouji Kumeta
  • Ushiki Yoshitaka
  • Kentaro Yabuki

These manga artists are seemingly related in some way with Ayaneru. The anime adaptation of “Knights of Sidonia”, one of Tsutomu Nihei’s works, has had the chance of getting one of its characters voiced by Ayaneru. Kouji Kumeta, on the other hand, is one of Ayaneru’s favorite manga artists. Both Nihei and Kumeta also have their works serialized in Kodansha. Merry Nightmare, the main character of Ushiki Yoshitaka’s manga “Yumekui Merry”, was Ayaneru’s first ever leading role.

The photobook is priced at 2700 yen (including tax) and will be released on Ayaneru’s 24th birthday: January 29, 2018. Since the book has sold out at a lot of stores, proxy shopping will probably be your best bet if you haven’t pre-ordered it yet.
