To commemorate voice actress and singer Nao Toyama’s first solo live, which will be held in Nippon Budokan on February 3, 2018, Kantai Collection illustrator Konishi has drawn a special illustration of Nao Toyama wearing the outfit of the Kongou sisters from the popular browser game.
As a gift for everyone who is attending her solo live, a special acrylic charm embedded with this illustration will be presented to all the attendees, as mentioned in her official Twitter account.
Naobou has been known to cosplay the Kongou sisters, all of which are voiced by herself, on various occasions. She has also performed the character song for the four battleships, “Teitoku to no Kizuna”, singing each of the characters’ parts in succession.
Nao Toyama made her professional voice actress debut in October 2010, playing Kanon Nakagawa in The World God Only Knows and Tiger Sugatame in Star Driver. Her popular anime roles include: Margot Knight in Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere (2011-2012), KAren Kujo in Kin-iro Mosaic (2013-), Chitoge Kirisaki in Nisekoi (2014-2015), Kongou in KanColle (2015-2016), and Reina Prowler in Macross Delta (2016).
While singing many character songs, she released her 1st single as a solo singer herself, “True Destiny /Chain the world” from FlyingDog in February 2017. Then her 2nd single “Imakoko/Tsukiga Kirei” followed in May. Her 1st full album “Rainbow” will include the four songs from the two singles and 10 newly- recorded songs.
